Henry Hudson was an Englishman who was born in the year 1565. His grandfather, Henry Hudson, was a London Alderman who helped found the Muscovy Trading Company. Hudson also had three sons, John, Richard, and Oliver. He was well educated and he was an explorer and navigator for his career. Hudson is famous for voyages of exploration for the Muscovy company and the discovery of the Hudson River, Hudson Strait, and Hudson Bay. He died in 1611. |
